I was looking for a new recipe for gingerbread people. I got a lot more, including a muffin mix that can be packaged as a gift (complete with gift-card recipe), ginger brownies, cakes, waffles, frostings and sauces and a lot of cookies I never heard off but can't wait to taste.

The recipes are not difficult and do not use ingredients only found in epicurean groceries. I personally did not find that the tit-bits about storing, decorating and gift-giving added a lot to the cookbook. I get the same advice ten times a year in any given magazine. It's there if you need it and the illustrations are fun and cute, so you might enjoy it.

This only needs a table of content to allow us to click directly to the recipe we want to be perfect. </tr></table>

One of my favorite things about Gooseberry Patch books is that many include great tips and ideas between the recipes, and they are included in this book. Edible greeting cards, Gingerbread Boy wreaths for your front door, creative gift packaging ideas, etc. An added bonus is decorating ideas. If you enjoy the spices/flavor of gingersnaps, you'll love this book!

I love the taste of ginger. Unfortunately for me, I love the sort of baked goods offered in this little down load. Unfortunately for me I have little self restraint when it comes to the finished product. This is my problem though, and despite the awful temptations this little book offers, I will not hold my failings against the authors.

This little book goes on to give a series of decorating hints, recommended frostings and more sauces. There are many little side tips and little one liners as to the history of gingerbread.

All in all this is a very appealing little e-book and at the time of this writing, it is free. Absolutely the only complaint I have (and it is more of an observation than a complaint) is that I would have liked to have seen an index at the front of the book and the ability to go directly to a given recipe.

As with all the other books in this series, it is very much a class act. While I found that I was familiar with some of the recipes, or at least their concept, it was nice to have so many wonderful ginger eats all presented in one book.

The directions and cooking instructions are simple and easy to follow. Most of the recipes presented here can and could be created by a beginning baker.

I was pleased to find new cookie recipes but also cake, scones, pancakes, waffles and more inside...we love the spicy-sweet flavor!</tr></table>
