1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 t. vanilla extract
1/4 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. gumdrops, chopped
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. quick-cooking oats,
uncooked
Combine shortening, sugars and eggs; beat until smooth. Stir in
remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 2-1/2 to 3 dozen.
